Our Working Farm
For
the last 200 years this property has been in the Henry
family, our children are the sixth generation of
Henrys to live on the homestead.
Traditionally the Henry descendents were trades
people, who farmed on a small scale as well. The tradition continues today, as our 50 acre farm is
operated using simpler natural methods with attention
to detail and quality. The farm is quite diversified,
we raise many types of livestock and grow the feed right
here on the farm.
Presently we have beef cattle, sheep and a
Jersey dairy heifer named Chocolate.
This past season our son, Luke, raised poultry
and sold fresh roasting chickens to his customers.
Our
cottage is now part of the homestead. The cottage is
situated in the midst of our homestead, in a very
private, quiet location and placed so our guests have a
direct view of the fishing wharf and harbour from their
deck.
If
you want your family to experience traditional rural
PEI lifestyle come and stay with us.
You and your family can help feed the animals,
or ride the ram should you dare! Perhaps you prefer to
sit on the deck of the cottage and watch the lambs play
in the field, or beach comb our private shoreline for
treasures. We
can offer all this and much more,
come and relax with us on our island!!
